BIMTECH Admission 2024

BIMTECH offers admission to postgraduate, fellowship, and certificate programs. BIMTECH is one of the reputed management institutes in India. BIMTECH is ranked at 48th position by NIRF under the management category for the year 2023. BIMTECH offers admission to a 2-year full-time PGDM course as its flagship program.
BIMTECH's expected cutoff for admission to the PGDM program is 75 for CAT, XAT, and GMAT and 95 for CMAT. The fellowship courses at BIMTECH offer a monthly stipend of INR 40,000. BIMTECH PGDM Admission 2024

BIMTECH offers admission to the 2-year full-time PGDM courses. Apart from PGDM Core, there are three specializations available at BIMTECH through which students can take admission to the PGDM programme. The specializations are available in International Business (IB), Insurance Business Management (IBM) and Retail Management (RM).

BIMTECH PGDM Selection Criteria

BIMTECH PGDM selection criteria have been mentioned below.

Round 1: Unique Profile-Based Selection for Early Applicants

Candidates applying for the PGDM 2024 programme at BIMTECH will have the opportunity to be shortlisted early based on their profile for the PI round, Extempore and Psychometric test in December 2023 (if they apply for the first round). BIMTECH PGDM 2024-26 aspirants can get the chance to be shortlisted early based on their profile and participating in early PI sessions in December 2023. There is a possibility for students to secure a seat at BIMTECH Greater Noida even before their MBA entrance exam results are declared. However, the final merit will still have the same weightage of 30% for entrance examinations.

Candidates in the early round will be shortlisted based on their academic consistency, past performance, and/or relevant work experience (if any). In the last week of December, the candidates will go through the PI round, Extempore and Psychometric test.

Round 2: Entrance Exam Scores

Candidates will be selected for the BIMTECH PGDM program based on their entrance exam scores (CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT) followed by a Personal Interview, Extempore, Psychometric Test. Applicants may submit more than one entrance test score. BIMTECH will consider the best test score for shortlisting the students for the PI round, Extempore and Psychometric Test.

BIMTECH PGDM Weightage for Final Selection

BIMTECH gives 30% weightage to the percentiles obtained in various exams like CAT, CMAT, XAT, GMAT and MAT. The best percentile out of all the submitted test scores will be considered by BIMTECH for admission in PGDM courses. Another 35% weightage is given to the performance in Personal Interview, Extempore and Psychometric Test. Weightage for work experience would be given to the candidate if he/she has worked in an executive or supervisory role for a minimum of one year.
For regional weightage, submission of valid proof of residence is mandatory.

BIMTECH FPM/EFPM Admission 2024

BIMTECH offers admission to doctoral-level programmes. There are two fellowship programmes available at BIMTECH which are Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) and Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM).

BIMTECH FPM & EFPM Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering and Technology/Management/Economics/Social Science/Commerce/Humanities with a minimum of 60% marks recognized by AICTE/AIU with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Candidates who have qualified CA/CS/ICWA with 50% marks along with a B.Com degree are also eligible.
Five-year integrated Master’s degree programme in Engineering and Technology/Management/Economics/Social Science/Commerce/Humanities with a minimum of 60% marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
EFPM candidates must have 5 years of work experience in managerial/executive or teaching domains.

BIMTECH FPM & EFPM Selection Criteria

The final selection for the BIMTECH fellowship program is based on the candidate’s overall performance in the presentation of Research Proposal followed by a Personal Interview.

BIMTECH FPM & EFPM Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to the FPM & EFPM programme at BIMTECH are required to fill out an online application form at www.bimtech.ac.in. The application form fee is INR 2000 (Non-Refundable).

BIMTECH Application Process 2024

BIMTECH admission usually starts from September and goes on till April next year. Candidates need to appear for any one of the acceptable entrance examinations including CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT for PGDM and PGDM (IB). Candidates interested in PGDM (IBM) and PGDM (RM) have an additional option of getting admitted through MAT scores as well apart from the above-mentioned exams. Admissions to doctoral programs do not require any entrance test. Candidates interested in FPM and EFPM will be admitted based on their research proposal and personal interview.

For PGDM and related courses, the accepted entrance exam gets a weightage of 35% in the final merit list. Admission to BIMTECH happens in multiple stages which are summarized below.

An application fee of INR 2000 has to be paid through a Credit/Debit Card.
The applicants have to fill up the application form with accurate information.

BIMTECH : Scholarship

BIMTECH Scholarships are available for meritorious students. BIMTECH offers scholarships based on merit in entrance examinations, academic performance during the programme, and analysis of thesis work submitted. BIMTECH is providing 10 scholarships offering INR 2,00,000 to each student who is admitted under the Supernumerary category from SAAC countries only. Some scholarships at BIMTECH are available for female candidates only.

BIMTECH Scholarship: Madhuri & Jagdish Sheth Endowment Awards

This scholarship was started by Professor Jagdish Sheth by donating INR 5,00,000 to BIMTECH for the creation of two such scholarships. BIMTECH contributed an additional amount of INR 5,00,000, so the total endowment amount became INR 10,00,000 based on the interest earned on the same.

BIMTECH Scholarship: Jagdish N Sheth Award for Best PhD Thesis

This scholarship offers INR 50,000 to the Ph.D. students based on the evaluation of the thesis submitted during the academic year. The cutoff date for this scholarship is in the month of February every year.

BIMTECH Scholarship: Madam Madhuri J Sheth Award for BIMTECH Female Toppers

BIMTECH offers this scholarship to female students of PGDM and PGDM-IB programmes. The total amount of this scholarship is INR 50,000, entitling INR 25,000 to each of the female topper under the eligible batches. The CGPA of the 1st & 2nd year will be considered based on their result up to the 6th term.

BIMTECH Scholarship: Late Sarala Birla Award for BIMTECH Female Doctoral Student from Developing Countries

BIMTECH female students enrolled in the doctoral programmes are granted a scholarship of INR 1,00,000 (every year) for three consecutive years.

BIMTECH Scholarship: Gold Medals & Special Medals

Under this scholarship, BIMTECH offers medals to meritorious students.

The topper of each course as per academic performance gets a Gold Medal.
A Gold Medal is granted to the toppers in All-Round Performance (one male and one female student).
The students of PGDM & PGDM (IB) courses who have secured 1^st position in each specialization area i.e., HR, Operations, Marketing & Finance based on the result from term 3 to term 6 are awarded special (silver) medals.

BIMTECH Scholarship: For Students Affected Due to COVID-19

BIMTECH offers this scholarship to students with the aim of providing financial assistance. This scholarship benefits the student by covering a part of the tuition fee for the 2-year course duration.

Eligibility Criteria:

The students meeting the following eligibility criteria are entitled to this BIMTECH Scholarship.

The student has lost one of the earning parents (Father/Mother) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The student has to maintain a 6.2 CGPA or above throughout the course duration.
The student has to maintain 80% of attendance.
