IIM Trichy is one of the fastest-growing second-generation IIMs, established in 2011. It is one of the premier management institutes with a full-fledged state-of-art campus, spread over 176 acres. IIM Trichy has been ranked 22nd by NIRF 2023, among the top B-schools in India. IIM-Trichy Admission 2024

IIM Trichy admissions are conducted as per CAP. The shortlisted students are required to appear for PI. WAT was excluded from CAP due to the COVID-19 outbreak. IIM Trichy Selection Criteria considers CAT and PI as dominant parameters for final selection and assigns a weightage of 50% and 25%, respectively. Other parameters included in PGPM Admission are Verbal Comprehension (CAT), work experience, performance in the qualifying degree and gender diversity.
IIM Trichy also offers PGPBM (Chennai Campus), DPM and EDPM programs. Selection for PGPBM and EDPM is based on the Written Test and PI. Whereas, DPM Admission is based on entrance exams such as CAT/GMAT/GATE/GRE/UGC-JRF/IIMB Test followed by area-specific Interview and PI with DPM Committee.

IIM Trichy PGPBM Selection Criteria

The eligible candidates will have to take the written test if they have not appeared for CAT or GMAT. The written test will evaluate the candidate on their quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation, and logical reasoning skills.
The candidates will be then shortlisted for the personal interview based on their performance in the written test or their CAT/ GMAT scores.
The final selection will be done based on the factors like test scores, PI scores, work experience, and performance at the undergraduate level. The weightage of all these factors is mentioned below:

IIM Trichy PGPBM Admission: How to Apply?

Interested candidates can apply for the PGPBM program on the IIM Trichy website and pay a non-refundable fee of INR 2,000 for the general category and INR 1,000 for SC/ ST/ DAP students.

IIM Trichy DPM Admission 2023

The candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for the IIM Trichy DPM program.

Education:

Master’s degree/ Postgraduate diploma/ Integrated Master’s degree/ 4-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (OR)
Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks and a professional qualification (CA/ ICWA/ CS) with at least 50% marks

Qualifying Exam:

The candidates should have appeared for the CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ UGC-JRF/ IIMB exam taken in the last 2 years.
The candidates who have taken CLAT PG in the year 2022 and 2023 are also eligible.
Candidates with a PGDM from any of the IIMs or PGPBM from IIM Trichy are exempted from taking the above-mentioned tests.

IIM Trichy DPM Selection Criteria

IIM Trichy selects the candidates for its DPM program based on 3 stage process that has been explained in the sections below:

IIM Trichy DPM Selection Criteria: Stage 1

The candidates will be shortlisted in stage 1, based on their application i.e, the eligibility criteria and the information provided by the candidates.

IIM Trichy DPM Selection Criteria: Stage 2

Stage 2 will have a Research Aptitude Examination and an Area Interview. The candidates may have to appear for both or can appear for any one of them, depending on the area they have chosen.

The Research Aptitude Examination: The examination is conducted to test the candidate’s research aptitude in a particular area of specialization. The examination will have questions based on the specific area that the candidate has applied for.

Area Interview: All the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the area interview with the members/ experts in their chosen area of specialization.

IIM Trichy DPM Selection Criteria: Stage 3

The candidates who were shortlisted in stage 2 will have to appear for another interview with the Doctoral Program and Research Committee. The candidates who will clear this stage will be sent an offer of admission to the DPM program at IIM Trichy.

IIM Trichy DPM Admission: How to Apply?

Interested candidates can apply online for the PhD program.
They can apply for a maximum of 2 areas of specialization.
The application fee is INR 1,000 and no application fee is charged for the SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.
The candidates appearing for IIMB Test will have to pay an additional fee of INR 1,000.

Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for ST students

CSS Scholarships are offered to meritorious ST students based on their annual parental income for the previous financial year. Students wishing to qualify for CSS Top Class Education should belong to the ST category. Also, their minimum family income should be INR 8,00,000/-.

Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for SC students

CSS Scholarships are offered by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, to SC students. It is provided based on their annual parental income for the previous financial year.

Fellowships for Doctoral Programme Management (DPM) students

CSS scholarships for Students with Disabilities (SwDs) is initiated by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India. This scholarship provides financial support to students pursuing studies at UG/PG/Diploma level.

Eligibility

Students should be pursuing studies at UG/PG/Diploma level in notified institutions of excellence in education.

Students having more than 40% disability + a valid certificate for the same are eligible. Students should have an annual family income of less than INR 6,00,000 from all sources.
