• The program follows a trimester pattern and makes the students experience the rigour and the tough situation prevalent in the corporate environment through case studies, live examples and simulations.

NIT Trichy MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have 6.5 CGPA or 60% for OC/ OBC/ OC-EWS and 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ ST candidates in the qualifying degree. For PWD candidates, the eligibility criterion will apply to the category they belong to (OC/ OC-EWS/ OBC/ SC/ ST).
• Candidates should have appeared for CAT 2022.

NIT Trichy MBA Selection Criteria

• Selection for the MBA course at NIT Trichy is a 2 stage process. Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their CAT examination score. These shortlisted candidates are then called for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews by the institute. 
• The GDs & PIs held at Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Tiruchirappalli, or Mumbai are the determining factor in the final selection for admission.
• Through various rounds, the list of selected candidates is released. Those from the OBC category will have to provide their Non-Creamy layer certificate and those from the OC-EWS quota have to prove their EWS certificate at the time of interview.

How to Apply for CAT? 

Candidates who are eligible for admission to MBA have to take the CAT for selection. Follow these steps to register:

  • Click on “Registration” for new users.
  • Read the given instructions.
  • Fill in the necessary details to generate OTP.
  • Enter the OTP and validate it.
  • Check ‘I Agree’ and submit the CAT application form.
  • After submitting the details, a message will be sent to the registered mobile number containing the password, and an email will be sent containing the user ID.
  • After the registration is complete, a unique login ID and password will be generated.
  • Click on ‘Go to Application Form’ to fill out the CAT application form.
