TAPMI or T. A. Pai Management Institute is one of the Top Management Institutes in India and was established in 1980. Located in the serene hills of Manipal, TAPMI was ranked 42nd by NIRF 2023 and is one of the 19 B-schools in India to be accredited by the AACSB. TAPMI offers MBA and PhD courses, but is more famous for its flagship MBA program which is offered in General, HR, BKFS, Marketing and International Business domains.
The largest batch of 367 students of MBA program was offered an Highest Package of INR 24.8 LPA in 2023. TAPMI has an Unbroken 100% Placement Record for the last many years. Admission to this program is based on National Level Entrance Tests like CAT / XAT / GMAT scores followed by English Proficiency Test (EPT), Moderated Group Discussions (MGD) and a Personal Interview (PI). T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) is one of the Top Management Institutes in India. Established in 1980 by Late Shri Tonse Ananth Pai (T.A. Pai), TAPMI is recognized by AIU and AICTE. TAPMI’s MBA Programs have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) since its constitution.
MBA is the Flagship Program of TAPMI. MBA at TAPMI is a 2-year full-time program. The fee for the MBA program at TAPMI is INR 16 Lakhs. The average package for the MBA batch of 2023 stood at INR 14.6 LPA.
The first year of MBA at TAPMI covers courses like Accounting, Organizational Behavior, Finance, Economics, Human Resources, Communication, Operations Management, Business Law and Basics of IT. At the end of the first year, Students have to take up 8 Weeks of Summer Internship. After the completion of the Internship, Students can choose their courses for the second year from a list of Electives offered by TAPMI.

TAPMI MBA fees is INR 16 Lakhs. Admission to MBA programs at TAPMI is based on National Level Entrance Examinations like CAT or XAT or GMAT or CMAT or NMAT. The expected cutoff for admission to the MBA programs is 85 Percentile for CAT and XAT. The Institute is known for its High Academic Rigour.
TAPMI Admission Process involves 3 steps. TAPMI offers MBA, MBA in Banking and Financial Services (MBA - BKFS), MBA in Human Resource Management (MBA - HRM), MBA in Marketing (MBA - Marketing), MBA in International Business (MBA - IB), EPGPM (Online Program) and a PhD program. The total number of seats for MBA programs at TAPMI is 660. MBA has 420 seats while MBA-BFKS has 120 seats. MBA-HRM and MBA in Marketing have 60 seats each.
For the PhD program, Admission is based on Candidates having a Masters Degree in Management or Related Subjects as the Area of Interest. Final Selection to the program is based on Candidate’s Academic Scores, Work Experience and a 2500-3000 words Research Proposal.

TAPMI Admission 2024: MBA
TAPMI offers MBA programs in various specializations. MBA, MBA in Banking and Financial Services (MBA-BKFS), MBA in Human Resource Management (MBA-HRM), MBA in Marketing (MBA-Marketing), MBA in International Business (MBA-IB) programs. The total fee of the programs is INR 16 Lakhs.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are Graduated with a Minimum of 50% can apply for the program. Students who are in their Final Year of Graduation are also eligible to apply, However their Admission will be cancelled if they obtain less than 50% in his/her Graduation.
Selection Criteria
MBA Programs: Candidates are selected based on their CAT / XAT / GMAT valid scores, followed by Academic Scores, Work Experience, English Proficiency Test, Moderated Group Discussions, Personal Interview and Statement of Purpose.
MBA-IB Program: Final Selection of Candidates is based on their CAT or NMAT or XAT or CMAT or GMAT valid scores, accompanied by Academic Scores, Work Experience, Moderated Group Discussions, Personal Interview and Statement of Purpose.

TAPMI Admission 2024: EPGPM
Executive– Post Graduate Program in Management (EPGPM) is an 11 month Online Program. Classes are held on Saturday Evening & Sunday Morning on Webex / Zoom Platforms. The total fee for the program is INR 1.65 Lakhs.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree with a Minimum of 50% Marks and with 1-10 Years of Work Experience are eligible to apply for the program. Final Selection of the Candidates will be based on Personal Interview.
Selection Process
There are 3 stages in the Selection Process, they are
Stage 1: Registration & Counselling
Candidates can Register themselves and Request for a Brochure.
Stage 2: Personal Interview
Shortlisted Candidates will be called for Personal Interview through Video Conferencing (Skype, Webex, Zoom) by TAPMI Faculty.
Stage 3: Selection
Selected Candidates will be sent an Offer Letter to Pay the Fees within a Date specified. After payment of the fees, Candidates will receive Primer Content for Foundation Course.
TAPMI : Placement
TAPMI placements 2023 concluded. TAPMI highest package stood at INR 24.8 LPA whereas TAPMI average package stood at INR 14.6 LPA. Post-program Salary has been increased by 4.1 times for PGDM Students compared to Pre-program Salary.
TAPMI BKFS average package stood at INR 15.7 LPA and TAPMI PGDM HRM average package stood at INR 12.8 LPA & INR 14.8 LPA for the PGDM Marketing students. The placement drive engaged more than 100 recruiters. Major recruiters included Accenture, AB Inbev, Capgemini, HCL, Cognizant and many more.
TAPMI has also concluded Summer Internship placements for the batch 2022-24 and a total of 500 students were offered Internships. The Highest Stipend stood at INR 1.25 Lakhs per month whereas the Average Stipend stood at INR 33.5K per month.
