Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is a central university located in New Delhi. Established in 1920, the university is recognized by the UGC and accredited by an ‘A’ grade by the NAAC. Jamia Millia Islamia is ranked 3rd among the top universities in India and 25th rank in the management category by NIRF 2023. JMI has several research centers including the Center for Management Studies, the Nelson Mandela Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution, and the AJK Mass Communication Research Center.

IIM Udaipur Admission 2024
Jamia Millia Islamia offers various programs at the postgraduate level in the fields of Arts, Science, Engineering, Design, Law, and Management, among others. The courses are offered for a duration of 2 years. The basic eligibility criteria for all PG courses is to have a bachelor’s degree in relevant specilisation from a recognised university or institute. Admission to most of the PG programs is done on the basis of the Jamia Entrance Exam. Jamia accepts CUET PG scores for admission to some MA and M.Sc courses.
Jamia Millia Islamia MBA Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates with a Bachelor‘s Degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade from a UGC-recognized educational institution with (10+2+3) pattern of education are eligible to apply for the MBA.
- The Bachelor’s degree can be in any discipline such as Language, Engineering, Humanities, Economics, Medical, Commerce or any other branch of education.
- The candidates who are going to appear in the final year of their bachelor degree or equivalent or are waiting for the final year results are also eligible to apply for admission to MBA programs at Jamia Millia Islamia.
- For the students who wish to pursue Executive MBA (Travel and Tourism) must also have at least two years of professional experience after the completion of Bachelor’s degree.
- There is no age bar for applying for an MBA degree programme offered by Jamia Millia Islamia.
Jamia Millia Islamia MBA Admission Criteria
Admission to the MBA Programme at Jamia Millia Islamia is basically done in three steps.

- Group Discussion
- Personal Interview
The candidates need to appear for the entrance examination which is conducted by JMI. The entrance examination would be for 170 marks. The applicants are then shortlisted for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) on the basis of the score in the entrance examination. The Group discussion (GD) will be of 10 marks and the Personal Interview (PI) will be of 20 marks.
The mode of application for MBA programme at Jamia Millia Islamia is Online only.

- Enter your E-mail ID and other necessary details to register yourself.
- The User ID and password will be generated on successful registration.
- Now fill the application form and provide all the necessary academic, personal as well as reservation (if any) details carefully.
- Upload/Attach the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fees of Rs. 700 online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI.
- The admit card for the MBA entrance exam will be issued before the Exam.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in various specializations with an objective to enrich and groom the students for entrepreneurial initiatives with a perfect blend of theoretical concepts and practical exposure. The duration of the course is 2 years, and the maximum span for completion of the program is 4 years.

Jamia Millia Islamia MBA Course Work
The MBA course will include both theoretical paper and practical work such as projects and Internships.
- Theoretical Papers: Each theoretical paper shall be of 3 Credits and will be of 100 marks. The theoretical papers would include lecture hours, case studies, management games, assignments, sessional, quizzes, presentations and examination.
- Summer Training Project Report: At the end of second semester, all students will have to undergo a Summer Training Project Report of 8-10 weeks with an industrial, business or service organization by taking up a project study. The summer training project shall be of 3 credits and will hold 100 marks.
- Comprehensive Project Report: In the second year, the students have to prepare a Comprehensive Project Report from Semester III and will have to submit it before the commencement of the semester end examination of Semester IV. The Comprehensive Project Report shall be of 6 credits and 200 marks.
Jamia Millia Islamia MBA Assessment and Evaluation
For each theoretical paper, the assessment would be done on two basis:
- Internal Assessment (30 Marks)- Class Participation, Assignments, Presentation, Quizzes, Case-discussion, Group Works And Sessionals
- Semester End Examination (70 Marks)- A 3-hour test with Multiple Choice Objective type Questions (MCQ), Short Answer Type Questions (SAQ), Long Answer Type Questions (LAQ) and Case Studies
Jamia Millia Islamia MBA Promotion Rules
- A student needs to score at least 50% marks in each paper to clear the exam.
- For promotion from first year to Second year, a student must pass in at least 12 out of the 16 prescribed papers.
- If a student fails to pass a paper then, he/she shall be required to reappear in the concerned paper along with the semester end examination of the next year.

Jamia Millia Islamia has concluded the first phase of 2023 placement drive. The second phase has started in the first week of January, 2023. During the first phase, more than 350 students were placed by 45 recruiters. Some of the top recruiters included KPMG, Accenture, ICICI Bank, CDOT, EXL etc. The highest salary of INR 25 LPA was offered by Home Centre from Dubai.
During the placement drive for the MBA batch of 2022, in which 25 companies participated in the placement drive. The highest CTC stood at INR 25 LPA which was offered by Amazon. The average CTC stood at INR 9 LPA.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers a wide range of scholarships to its students to help them pursue their academic goals without financial constraints.
